Corrugated cardboard is made into corrugated boxes through die-cutting, indentation, nailing or gluing. Corrugated box is a kind of widely used packaging products, and its consumption has always been more than that of various packaging products. The use of corrugated boxes has greatly facilitated the work of the transport industry, so what should be paid attention to when printing cartons? Now let's introduce.
1、 Keep the ink viscosity stable
Ink viscosity is the main index to be controlled in corrugated board printing, and it is one of the main factors affecting the printing color. As the ink solvent volatilizes during the printing process, the base viscosity will increase. In order to maintain the stability of the ink viscosity, the ink stabilizer should be added every half an hour to one hour, with the amount of 1% to 2%.
2、 Minimize printing pressure
In order to ensure the printing quality of the carton and reduce the impact on the strength of the corrugated carton, the printing pressure should be as small as possible, and the ink used should be fast drying ink as much as possible. Secondly, the distance between the printing surface and the horizontal indentation line should be kept at least 15mm, because the corrugated board which is pressed down by the laminating machine's indentation plate cannot fully accept the ink, otherwise the printing effect will be affected.
3、 Avoid ribbon printing
Some decoration designers, due to the lack of printing technology knowledge, designed the carton printing pattern with some horizontal gradient lines. When printing, the printing pressure will crush the corrugated. This area of the carton will have stress concentration, so it is easy to break.
4、 Avoid full page printing
When the corrugated box is full or printed around, in addition to the effect of the embossing roller on the corrugated board, the ink also has a wetting effect on the paper surface, which will reduce the compressive strength of the corrugated box. Therefore, the simpler the corrugated box is, the better, and try to avoid printing pictures and texts everywhere on the whole box surface, not to mention full plate printing.
