1. The basic conditions of the carton factory: determine the length, width and height of the carton
Usually, for a three-layer carton, the thickness of the paper is about 3.5mm, and for a five-layer carton, the thickness is about 7mm, so you first need to measure the length, width and height of the actual item. Then increase the thickness of the carton (try increasing the height of the carton by 0.5mm). Carton size design: Usually, when the width data is relatively small, it is designed to save more material. So according to your own product, you have to tell the carton factory whether the size you are talking about is the outer box size or the inner box size.
2. Choose the material of the carton
According to the weight and cost of our own goods, we should choose the material of the carton reasonably. Our ordinary cartons are made of corrugated cardboard, corrugated cardboard release paper, corrugated cardboard, core paper and inner paper; the heavier the weight per square meter, the better the quality. The grams of paper are 120 grams, 140 grams, 170 grams, 200 grams, and 250 grams.
3. Choice of carton thickness
Cartons are divided into three layers, five layers, seven layers and nine layers. The thickness of the third layer is about 0.3 mm, the thickness of the fifth layer is about 0.7 mm, and the thickness of the seventh layer is about 0.9 mm. The third floor is also called a single pit, and the fifth floor is also called a double pit. Reinforced and hardened cartons are the same thickness, only rigid. The load-bearing capacity of the carton mainly depends on the transverse ring compressive strength of each layer of base paper, but the more layers, the better the load-bearing performance.
4. Printing problems
Generally speaking, the larger the printing area, the higher the cost. Of course, it depends on the color. Once the carton is printed, it cannot be modified. Therefore, we have to confirm the printing content with the carton manufacturer many times. Some small mistakes can be covered with self-adhesive stickers or warm water stickers of the same color as the carton, but they are not pretty enough. Provide accurate printing materials as much as possible, and supervise the carton manufacturer to print in strict accordance with the requirements.
